Your family pet vet
We are a small animal veterinary practice which has for 25 years been treating small domestic pets (dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, reptiles...) in a caring and friendly environment. We understand the importance of the role of companion animals in their owner’s lives. Our aim is to care for each of our patients as if he or she was part of our family.
Our vets and nurses are friendly and approachable and committed to maintaining a standard of excellence in all our services. These service include all professional veterinary service as well as providing in house diagnostics from pathology to radiology.
We have 3 veterinarians and 4 nurses. The business is owned and run by Robyn Edleston. Originally from the western suburbs of Sydney Robyn graduated from the University of Sydney in 1977 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (hons) one of only 8 women in a class of 68 graduates. Robyn‘s first position was in Broken Hill as the supervising vet at the RSPCA clinic (which was the only veterinary clinic within 200kms of Broken Hill) treating everything from cockatoos to camels and working with the Royal Flying Doctor Service to provide vet care to outlying properties.
She left Broken Hill in 1980 and since then has worked in a number of rural and regional practices in Yass, Canberra, Orange, Wagga Wagga and finally settled in Tamworth in 1990.
Originally working in mixed practice then part time in small animal practice Robyn decided that there was a need for a small animal practice which provided a full professional veterinary service with a warm, friendly family feel and so in 1999 decided to open her own small animal clinic in Marius Street
Robyn’s veterinary interests include small animal medicine in particular nutrition and geriatric pet care, dentistry, animal behaviour and pocket pet medicine. She has two children and two grandchildren. Her interests apart from her family include singing, acting, painting and travel. She and her husband live on five hectares outside Tamworth with their cat Bat Cat and Staffordshire Bull Terrier Louis.
With 25 years of experience and continuous growth, our business remains committed to providing exceptional veterinary services in a compassionate and welcoming environment. Despite our expansion, we remain a small, family-oriented practice that values personal connections with our clients. We take pride in our ability to make time for each client and offer a relaxed approach to consultations. At our practice, every patient is treated with the same level of care and attention as if they were a cherished member of our own family.
Effective communication between our staff members and clients is fundamental to the success and distinctive quality of our business. In fact, the testimonials we receive from our clients often highlight the exceptional friendliness and attentiveness of our staff members, as well as the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth in our service delivery. Such positive feedback underscores the importance we place on fostering strong relationships and exceeding client expectations.
The long-standing loyalty of our clients speaks volumes about the quality and professionalism of our practice. Since our establishment in 1999, we have garnered a dedicated client base that continues to trust us with their healthcare needs. Their ongoing support is a testament to the exceptional care and services we provide, and we are grateful for the strong relationships we have built over the years. As we continue to grow and evolve, we remain committed to upholding the highest standards of care to meet the needs of our valued clients.
