Seeing a need in her local & surrounding rural community, Steph McCarthy left her career in education & pursued the dream of owning her own business. Loving bright colours, a bit of flare & sparkle along with Tongue-in-Cheek T-Shirt slogans, the western fashion market came calling her name. Wanting some fun country fashion that was only available online she set out to introduce a new exciting option to her local area that filled the gap between typical saddlery or workwear business and the major chain stores.

Starting as a pop-up shop & trading at events such as shows & rodeos she soon added Dixie Lane to the online space with huge success & opened a permanent store in Inverell soon after.

Steph has since developed Dixie Lane into it's own brand & produces a variety of stock for the label in house. She still travels to approx. 20 events around the district & afar each year & employs local fashion enthusiasts to work the store when she's is trading on the road.Dixie Lane stock a very unique blend of Western Fashion imported from the US.

We also have taken a liking to the "Vegas" style Rodeo fashion that screams sparkle, shine & anything over-the-top. If country & cowgirl isn't your thing, don't stress, in addition to the glitz & glam, Dixie Lane also stocks classic country style & on-trend boutique styles to service the local community members that might not be as daring.

Formal wear also has a place in the store along with a small selection of baby & kids wear, a men's range & of course giftware and home decor.

Operating a business in a smaller country town is all about diversity & we strive to cater to the extensive community as much as possible whilst staying true to our origins.
